Summit Logistics Ltd will not be liable for any loss or damage to any vehicle prior to loading and after off-loading from the transporter, howsoever such loss or damage occurs with the exception of during handling of vehicles by ourselves.
Following email or verbal confirmation of a booking, loading will only take place if no condition arises that may prevent us from either reaching the collection point or unloading point (e.g. unforeseen road closures due to accidents or other) We reserve the right to cancel or delay a collection and delivery without penalty or liability.
Invoices will be sent to you via email upon booking. This invoice will need to be paid in full prior to us collecting your car (unless other arrangements have been agreed once at least one collection has taken place). Confirmation of payment is sent once received.
For cancellations of pre-arranged bookings, we require 24 hours notice. Bookings cancelled after 1pm the day before collection will be charged in full. For alterations to destinations after bookings have been made, please be aware that an additional charge may need to be added or the contract cancelled should it now impede on other bookings already taken.
Once instructed to collect a vehicle, said vehicle must be ready to be loaded upon arrival. The vehicle must be accessible in order to load onto the trailer and there must be adequate access for the tow vehicle and trailer to load safely. Should vehicles be unready, Summit Logistics Ltd may deem the contract terminated and shall claim full payment for the order. Drivers will allow a wait time of 30 minutes free of charge. Any waiting time over this will be charged at £60 per hour. If we cannot load the vehicle the job will be aborted without refund or invoiced in full. It is a requirement that the vehicle must start, drive both forward and backwards and be able to brake safely. If the transporter arrives at the collection point and the vehicle cannot be loaded due to these requirements not being met, it is at the driver's discretion as to whether the vehicle can be loaded with the use of the winch .
